Google Business Profile checkup for Rock Hill businesses

Your listing decides whether you make the map when someone in Rock Hill searches for what you do. Here are the eight things we check, and how you get the results.

Why it matters

The map shows up before any website.

Search "electrician near me" anywhere in Rock Hill and the top of the screen is usually a map pinned with three companies. Plenty of people call one of those three and never scroll further. Google picks them based on how well each listing fits the search, how complete and well reviewed it is, and how far it sits from the phone doing the searching.

Distance is the one factor you can't touch. The rest is housekeeping, and it's housekeeping many Rock Hill listings haven't done: a category that's almost right, a half-empty services list, hours that disagree with the website.

  1. Primary category

The single most important field. We check it against what you actually do and what your top competitors chose.

  2. Secondary categories

Extra categories for services you offer, without adding ones that dilute what you're known for.

  3. Name, address and phone

Compared letter for letter with your website. A stray old number or a missing suite makes Google less certain you're one business.

  4. Service area

The York County towns you really serve, set the way Google expects for a business that travels to customers.

  5. Services list

Written in customers' own words, with each one tied to a page on your site.

  6. Photos

Real, recent photos of your work, team, vehicles or storefront. We'll say which kinds are missing.

  7. Reviews and replies

Volume, how recently they came in, and whether you answer them. Then a painless way to ask for new ones.

  8. Website link

Pointing to the right page, and that page actually matching what the listing promises.

How it works

A to-do list. No passwords.

We look at the public side of your listing, the same view customers get, and compare it field by field with your website. What comes back is a numbered to-do list, most important first, that most owners can knock out over a coffee break.

Clients on the Monthly Search Program get a new list every month, because Google keeps adding features and your competitors keep changing theirs.

Questions about Google listings

Why don't you want my Google login?
Because access is the thing owners end up losing. When a web person or agency holds the keys and then moves on, getting control back can take weeks. We don't need access to tell you what's wrong, so we don't ask for it. You make the edits yourself, usually in a few minutes.
Does the checkup cost extra?
No charge when it's part of the free website review, and it's built into the Monthly Search Program. A stand-alone checkup is possible too, and we'll be honest about whether yours needs one.
Can you get my suspended listing back?
We'll walk you through the documents and steps Google typically asks for. Whether a listing gets reinstated is Google's decision, so we won't guarantee it.
